It is estimate that companies lose an average of $63,000 in productivity losses and recruitment costs every time they need to replace an employee.

However, avoiding that cost and improving employee retention and motivation is simple with SOPHY:

  1. Track your assets with a few clicks

First of all, you need to get an overview of all important assets and record their condition and location:

  • Go to 'Assets' in the navigation.
  • Add a new asset with 'Add asset' in the top right.
  • Name it and also add further information.

This ensures you know where your assets are at any time, and that they will not depart with your employees during the employee turnover cycle.

2. To speed things up, use templates

To start as quickly as possible with SOPHY, you can use one of several professional templates:

  • Go to 'Checklists' in the navigation.
  • Click 'Templates' in the top right.
  • Select the tab 'Onboarding'.
  • Choose a template you would like to use.
  • Click on 'Start a new list' to start the checklist.

You can modify templates whenever you want.

3. Stop wasting time on coordination and delegate tasks

Once you have set up your assets and onboarding checklists, delegate the tasks:

  • Open the task details by clicking on a task in the checklist.
  • Then click on 'assign user' under the task title or on the image of the currently assigned team member.
  • Assign a new team member.

You can also add a due date to make sure tasks are completed on time.

4. Optimize the process

Once you have run through the onboarding workflow once it is time to evaluate the process.

  • How did the onboarding process perform overall?
  • Was there something missing?
  • Have there been any unnecessary steps that can be deleted from the checklist?
  • Was the task order appropriate?

5. Save your optimized process as a template for the future

Once you have an optimized onboarding process you can save it as a template:

  • Go to 'Checklists' in the navigation.
  • Select the checklist you want to save as a template.
  • Click on 'Save as template' in the top right.

You'll find your template in the 'My templates' tab when you want to re-use it.
